My name is Bunky. I'm a 4-year-old Boston terrier who loves to go to Costa Bella Park in Grover Beach. I've been going there with my master to meet with my four-legged friends about four times a week.
I stay for 30 minutes or so and leave feeling happy, tired and ready for dinner. I love this park because it's so much fun for me and my friends.
Grover Beach doesn't want us at their park anymore unless we have something called a "leash" around our necks. You can't run and fetch balls wearing a leash. I love my two-legged and four-legged friends and am hoping that someone in the area will give us a safe doggie park where we don't have to wear leashes. It's too far away to go to any of the other doggie parks in San Luis Obispo County, so we need this one.
You know, we dogs have been around for a few thousand years at the sides of our humans. We are not asking for another golf course, tennis court, or baseball or soccer field. We don't even want low-cost housing--just a place where we can run and play freely. Without a noose around our necks.
